Jamilah Dei-Sharpe
Jamilah is a Canadian sociological researcher and critical pedagogue dedicated to empowering Black lives and cultivating anti-colonial and anti-racist research and learning environments. She specializes in Black Canadian history, race and gender relations across the African diasporas, Black men and masculinities and decolonizing approaches to education.
She is a recipient of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council's Joseph-Armand Bombardier Award and a Queen Elizabeth Scholar Fellowship in the Advanced Scholars West Africa (QES-AS-WA) program on transnational feminism.
